The lives of the elite Navy S.E.A.L.s as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask. It's an OK show, but I have only so much time to watch TV, and this one doesn't make the cut. I was rooting for it, because I liked Boreanaz in Bones, but there just isn't much there. Another reviewer mentioned The Unit, and he's right – THAT was a truly great show, and seems to be one of the models for this one, but the writing is not nearly sharp enough, and the characters and stories are too predictable. And, as others have noted, the dialogue is annoyingly hard to understand. My hearing isn't what it used to be, and I thought it might just be me, so I guess I'm relieved to hear that others are having the same problem. But turning on the subtitles only revealed that I shouldn't have bothered. I also agree that Jessica Paré seems miscast. I'm sticking with The Brave for now, but judgment is still out on that one. First, let me say that the people who call this a PC filled TV show clearly didn't even bother watching the damn show or at least pay attention to it. The DEVGRU team the show depicts DOES NOT HAVE A WOMAN OPERATOR! She's an NCO that works with the spec ops teams. She's not on the team itself. She doesn't even have a trident on her uniform so get your freaking facts straight you geniuses.<br/><br/>I'm not military and my only knowledge of DEVGRU SEALs and SEALs, in general, are via the autobiographies ex-operators have written and internet research. Comparing and contrasting, it's fairly accurate thus far. But let's remember this is a TV show. If they wanted to make these things 100% accurate, then it'd be kind of boring. The realism complaints I kind of agree with but at the same time, the people need to make it interesting and there needs to be tense situations. Look at it this way, every martial arts movie is just choreography. People don't fight like that AT ALL. All of those quick movements of striking and defending is NOT REAL. But it makes for fun scenes doesn't it? So would you rather have fun or accurate? There can be a mix of both which the creators need to learn how to balance.<br/><br/>From what I know is accurate thus far.. 1) Green team selection process. The whole top 5 bottom 5 is real. 2) DEVGRU equipment. In ep. 9, Davis tells Spencer he can basically get whatever he wants for gear and that his time on Team 3 was the exact opposite. According to an autobiography, that is true. DEVGRU basically get a blank check when it comes to gear. Need extras of anything? No problem.<br/><br/>They even put in some real missions that have occurred for example, in ep. 8 where they exchange AQ prisoners for an AWOL US soldier did actually happen.<br/><br/>The part that bugs me is the lack of people. The main team seems to vary in number per each mission. Considering how many characters GOT has, this show can have a lot more characters.
